Building on the successful event The Gateway Collegiate Tour introduced to collegiate golfers last summer, The 2nd Annual Mountaintop-Gateway Collegiate Players Invitational is set tee off again, August 8-12, at Mountaintop Golf & Lake Club, in Cashiers, NC.

Set in the picturesque mountains of a truly pristine corner of North Carolina, GOLFWEEK Magazine's No. 1 ranked new golf course in 2008 will play host to the elite amateur event for a second-straight year -- and new for this year -- the tournament has made the GOLFWORLD Scratch Players Master USA Calendar which now enables players to earn world amateur ranking points as they do with many other top national amateur events.

The Gateway Collegiate Tour is currently accepting only 2 more applications on an invitational basis, and all interested players are encouraged to apply (The field is limited to 36 players).
